An electric fuel shut-off safety solenoid (to protect against hydraulic compression damage) is necessary on all years units. They can be nicely hidden under plenum. We stronglyurge a safety solenoid on ALL fuel injection systems. Solenoids are aircraft style for gasoline usage.
We strongly suggest that your distributor be rebuilt with your unit to ensure total proper operation.
